Staring at your laptop screen or your smartphone all day might be necessary but it is extremely harmful as it affects your eyes and often because of the harsh blue glare, you end up having headaches, stress, and fatigue. If done properly, there are a few ways in which you can cure your sore eyes:
1. Blink as much as you can
Blinking helps in keep your eyes hydrated and get rid of irritation and dryness. While staring at a screen, we tend to blink way lesser than we usually would which is why eyes dry out and start feeling sore. Blinking keeps your eyes moist and helps them refocus better.
2. Take frequent breaks
Follow the 20-20-20 rule when it comes to your Smartphone. This rule states that after staring at a screen for 20 minutes, look away from it for 20 seconds and try and concentrate on something that is 20 feet away. This helps your eye muscles relax and removes the soreness from your overworked eyes.

3. Make adjustments to your brightness
Your brightness is adjustable, so, why not use that feature to the fullest. Staring at a screen too bright or too dark can rip your eyes of moisture and cause problems in maintaining focus. All you need to do is go to settings and adjust it according to the light around you for better focus. However, most people use their phone in the dark on the bed which has been proven to cause insomnia.
4. Resize the text
Using the resizing tool to enlarge the text is a good idea as now you will not have to strain your eyes to read something minuscule. Also, this makes reading messages and e-mail on the phone way easier.

Since you spend so much time with/on it, why not spend some removing dust, smudges, and fingerprints? This will help you read things better and is more hygienic.
6. Do not hold the screen close to your face
You do not have to hold the smartphone screen in front of your face to read something. Maintain a decent distance which helps you read stuff and doesn’t over strain your eyes either. A distance of 16-18 inches is considered perfect.
