Kapila Gupta: Redefining luxury in the Indian space with Luxurystation.com

Gupta is a graduate from SRCC and was on a 2 year long leave to look after her children. During her sabbatical, she got the idea of pursuing her lifelong dream of actually coming up with a business. The lack of availability of luxury products was something Kapila Gupta identified when she couldn’t order a bag from UK due to the excessive shipping rates and time required for delivery.

“Apart from the need of creating something of my own, I thought my own venture will give me more flexibility.”

She came up with the brilliant idea of Luxurystation.com, a wholesome website which would offer high end luxury brands which were popular but unavailable in India. After a market research, she found out that starting a store would mean additional running and maintenance costs compared to which, setting up an e-commerce platform seemed more feasible.
